Is it possible there are millions in Nevada unclaimed tax refunds? Little did we know it is in the law that the Internal Revenue gives out tax refunds to the people. Each year, hundreds of thousands worth of dollars are left unreturned by the state and unclaimed tax refunds are just one of the many forms of unclaimed cash in America.

Actually, the whole of United States have been stunned by the news of unreturned and unclaimed money kept by the state’s treasury. Around $400 million worth of cash and properties were collected for proper return in the said state. The fuzz about these dormant assets has recently proliferated all over the news. In the United States of America, at least 400 billion dollars were found kept by the government.

Good news for residents of New Hampshire as the State’s government announces their interest in returning hundreds of thousands worth of unclaimed cash and property kept by the treasury. Actually, the whole of America was surprised by the chain of statements publicized by various states calling the attention of their ‘forgetful’ citizens about these properties kept untouched and unreturned for years or even decades.

The heat of recession has left no country unaffected. However, in these tough times, there is some sort of solace to those folks who are associated with California in the present or in the past. Millions of dollars are waiting in the treasuries of California waiting to be claimed by their rightful owners. There are many who have conducted California missing money search and found thousands of dollars that they did not know belonged to them.

In addition to money and securities, the state’s holdings include tangible property such as watches, jewelry, coins, currency, stamps, historical items and other miscellaneous articles.

After certain kinds of assets have been dormant for three years or more (depending on which type), they are considered “unclaimed funds”, and the insurance company, financial institution, or corporation holding them has to turn them over to the State Comptroller’s Office.

The top unclaimed account — held by someone in a city suburb — totals $1.7 million. Two more unknowing millionaires somewhere in the five boroughs have $1.4 and $1 million respectively.
